Today, we will prepare sweet Paranthas of coconut.
The sweet Parantha of coconut is loved by kids.
Let us see what all do we require to prepare sweet coconut Parantha.
Wheat flour - 2 cups.
Grated coconut (raw) - 1/2 cup.
Salt - 1/2 tsp.
Cardamom (Elaichi) powder - 1/4 tsp.
Desi Ghee - 1/3 cup.
Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup.
Knead the flour first to prepare to prepare the sweet Paranthas of coconut.
Add salt and 2 tsp desi ghee in the flour.
Mix all these and knead a soft flour by adding small amount of water at regular intervals.
Less than 1 cup of water was required to knead this flour.
Cover the dough with a lid for 20 minutes to ferment it.
In the meantime, we can prepare the filling of coconut.
Turn on the gas and heat the pan.
Take 2 tsp ghee in the pan.
Add grated coconut in it.
Roast the coconut by constantly mixing it till it turns light brown.
The color of coconut has changed and its water has dried up.
Turn off the gas and mix sugar in it till it is cooled down.
Take out the coconut in a bowl.
Mix cardamom powder and powdered sugar in it.
The filling of coconut is ready.
Press the dough by applying a little amount of oil on your hands.
Let us begin preparing Paranthas now.
Heat the Tawa.
Take out two balls from the dough.
Make two balls to prepare one Parantha.
Each ball should be of the size of a lemon.
Roll it out into a thin circle.
Roll out the other ball in the same way.
Apply some dry flour and remove the extra dry flour.
Put 2 tbsp of filling over it and spread it.
The filling should be spread leaving the half inch of the edge of Parantha.
Press the edges nicely to stick these.
Roll it again from the edges.
Heat the Tawa and spread some oil over it.
Put the Parantha on Tawa.
Roll out the second Parantha till the time this Parantha cooks.
The color of the Parantha has changed and it is now heated from the lower surface.
The Parantha is cooked from the other side also.
Spread ghee over it.
Turn the side of the Parantha.
Spread ghee this side also.
Cook the Parantha by pressing its edges till brown patches appear on it.
The Parantha is prepared now.
Take it out in a bowl placed on a plate or on an oil placed on a plate.
We have to prepare all Paranthas in the similar way.
Six Paranthas can be prepared from the given quantity of dough.
These Paranthas can be served with curd or without anything.
These can also be kept in tiffin of kids.
