>>TONY: If you are coming down to Motorcycle Live, than bring some people down to the Get On campaign that is going on here.
Spread the motorcycling word, “life is good on two wheels” – we all know it!
There are all sorts of people out there that could be tempted
I’m joined by Myles Taylor, director of the Get On.
Myles, great to have you here. For those people who are unaware of Get On and what it stands for, can you just explain it to us?
>>MYLES: The Get On campaign is the industry backed campaign that encourages more people to ride motorcycles.
It is based on offering everybody over 16 a free one hour ride at over 160 centres around the country and is backed by the majority of the major manufactures.
This is the industry show. We have a massive presence in hall four with six lanes with instructors running free rides every twenty minutes for the entire show duration.
This is the perfect place to start your journey.
>>NICK: We have a choice of bikes so you can pick a bike from a 50cc automatic and we have a range of 125s from all the contributing manufactures.
It gives people the opportunity to have a go without having that commitment of having to pay for a CBT or whatever.
They can get a feel for it then they know that it’s something that they want to do and they can just go to their local training school from there.
>>TONY: So Greg, you just been out on the Get On campaign for your first ever ride on two wheels.
Tell us what your rode and how it felt.
>>GREG: I rode one of the 50cc scooters as I’m only 16, so it’s all I could get on at the moment.
It was a great experience to get out there for the first time.
