Hello! My name is Nancy Adler and on behalf of Expert Village, today I'm going to tell
you how to operate a cinema, a movie cinema. When we first go into the business in 1977,
the equipment upstairs in the projection room, which you'll see soon, was the old equipment.
It was old carbon arcs. The projectionist had to stand there and push the arcs together
by hand and that's the light would be created. This is before the days of where we have a
platter system and projectors that run on the z-non bulbs. You'll see it when we get
up to the projection booth. With that old equipment, we had lots and lots of break downs.
It was a wild time back then, I'll tell you that. We always had to close the show. Since
then, also we've put in this new heating system up on the ceiling. Prior to that, we were
stopped to heat this place. Then we would get these awful winters we'd have to close
down. People would just leave if it would freeze. Since we straightened that out.
