Earning the GED was very important to me because I did want to become a great role model for
my son.
I wanted to be able to be that example for him in education.
At first I started wanting to learn just English cause I didn't speak English and at the
school I met a lot of teachers who encouraged me to get my GED, to go to college, to get a
better job.
Actually my children motivated me all the way.
Being that they are in school and I pushed them to do well in school I had to sit back
and think like how can I push them to do well if I don't even have a high school diploma.
I've been a sushi chef for about six years so I got to learn the back of the house and
I want to study business management so I can learn all the business that I need to do open
a restaurant.
I just knew that taking the GED test would open a lot of doors.
