My name is Patrick Hecker. I'm working for the brothers "Meier" and I'm responsible for
the crops. On our ground we cultivate nearly 80 hectare. Diverse salads, red butterhead
lettuce, green butterhead lettuce, red oak leaf lettuce, green oak leaf lettuce, bavaria,
different types of salanova lettuce and on the other hand we cultivate cabbage. We mainly
produce cauliflower, romanesco broccoli which we produce the "twin" in double basins. Furthermore
there is würz, labis and zogetti. 2 years ago we questioned ourselves if we should buy
a new sprayer or not. The reasons for a new sprayer have actually been, that the tank
of the old one was too small, so we had to cover unnecessary distances. Over and over
again we had to refill the tank. With the Agrifac Condor we can spray about 3400 litres
spraying chemical and additionally we have a fresh water tank of 450 litres and that
was one of our main reasons, then we looked around for exactly what we needed and what
met our expectations, so we came in contact with the Agrifac Condor and what finally assured
us, was on the one hand the stability of the boom, and despite its size, the machine is
very mobile. Thanks to the four wheel control. Another advantage of the Condor is, that there is almost no rest
of liquid fertilizer in the tank. Thanks to the special funnel shaped tank there really
is no rest, or almost no rest, maybe half a litre in the tank, the tank cleaning is
great. To be added, the liquid fertilizer circulates the whole time through the booms,
so the fertilizer is immediately available at the nozzles. To be said, in the moment
you start the nozzles, the fertilizer is immediately on the salad or on the respective crops, which
need to be sprayed. Because of its size, the machine has to handle a lot of weight and
this is very well balanced. The same with the boom, which is very strong and therefore
very sturdy with a long endurance. I also really like the software of the machine. The
software is self-explanatory, you need little introduction time, so someone who has a little
understanding for the machine can easily learn to handle the system. The comfort in the cabin
is brilliant. Thanks to the chassis suspension every roughness is optimally balanced and
you aren't bounced around. The driving is really comfortable on the field and just as
good on the street. Another advantage of the chassis suspension is the adaption of the
track width from 1,55 to 2,30 metres. So you can drive in the field or as we do, driving
in our tramlines. Thus you are very flexible.
