Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and I am so glad to see you again.
Today we will draw a dolphin.
We start the outline of the head and then the body.
We use an aerodynamic shape or should i say hydrodynamic
since it is in water, what I need is very rounded.
Dolphins have a little snout that always looks like it is smiling.
The eyes...
and I´ll make the head a little bit smaller
one fin on top and one on the side.
The fin on the other side that will be down here and the tail.
I´ll make the head a little bit smaller because it looks like a little whale
and either I correct this or i will have to change the title of the video!
Good! Now a wave up here.
I will use the graphite powder that I always collect when I sharpen
my led holders.
If you rather use regular pencils don´t panic! You can produce this powder
by rubbing the tip against a sandpaper or with a knife.
And now with a soft brush I extend the graphite to paint with it.
It is very crucial for this technique that you never touch the paper with your fingers
otherwise you will leave your finger prints, that is why as you probably noticed I was
using a large brush to clean up the paper after erasing it.
As needed pour more powder, it is a good practice to go lighter
and then darken little by little, because if you go too dark,
it is hard to lighten.
At this point we reinforce some parts and shade some areas.
You may do the shading with the pencil or with the brush.
Charge the brush in the powder to then to this.
Nice! And now I need a short piece of eraser.
Hehe good!
And now with the corner I can pull some nice lights.
This gives a really cool effect.
To do this you can use a kneaded eraser instead, they are sold in the art´s stores
but if you don´t have a kneaded eraser, don´t worry, you can do it with a regular eraser
as I showed you.
The light will fall on the surfaces that are facing up, obviously, including the fin.
The list of materials is in the information bellow the video.
I will sharpen and reinforce some areas with the pencil.
I don´t like the tail, let´s draw it a little bit better.
Like so. And now masking with a paper to go straight, let´s do some beams of light
coming from the surface.
And some little bubbles.
The lower fin should be darker and I smudge with a stump as need it.
Very good! This is so nice to draw.
Let´s give it the last touches and it´s ready!
