~ Meditation Milestones: Progress on the Path ~
Notable milestones: Permanent witness, Deep breathing, Unstruck sound, and Sourceless light.
Permanent Witness
The witness is detached and distanced from all that comes and goes. It remains behind, unchanging.
Deep Breathing
Deep breathing is naturally slow and silent. You cannot hear deep breathing; you can only feel it happen.
Deep breathing is the base of meditation. The diaphragm moves, but the chest and lower abdomen remain still.
Breathing Cycle: Phase 1. In-breath; Phase 2. Gap; Phase 3. Out-breath; Phase 4. Gap.
Unstruck Sound
The unstruck sound, OM, is emphasized in kriya yoga. OM sounds like falling water.
Sourceless Light
The sourceless light is felt at the inner eye or third eye, between the eyebrows, and expands without limit.
Satori Moments: Glimpses of the Beyond
Whenever you feel uplifted, transported or transformed, remember these moments and relive them often.
Such eternal moments are experiences to be nurtured to create an inner space.
To know your self and be your self, go within, beyond the mind, to the innermost center of being.
