The show was great. It really went well. All of Asian Night went well.
The food was great, the Martial Arts Club performed great, we had Filipino dancers there.
And Unique put on a great performance too. The martial arts performance
went really well. We
didn't have as large numbers as we usually, but
overall everyone performed well.
Breaks went well; no one was hit by any wood.
I couldn't ask for go much better. Everyone knew the form and had it down.
I think my favorite part was probably when
Tyler went to do his kick, because he always does a
spinning kick and everyone gets really excited as he rounds up for it.
And then when he goes through with it, they all go crazy.
It's wonderful. It was a really great turnout. Last year,
we unfortunately didn't get to host Asian Night and so we hoped
that it would come back bigger than ever. Martial Arts and Unique
are a staple of Asian Night and it just so happened that Greg
Aguilar showed us the Philippine Dance Troupe and we thought it would be cool to branch out
into the rest of the community instead of keeping inside Augustana.
I always love watching Martial Arts Club do their
performance.
The breaking of the boards is always very exciting. We are the
Asian Student Organization (ASO) and we meet every
Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Asian Pagoda house.
