I'm Amelia and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I am here today talking about how to change
over windows from curtains to interior set wooden blinds. So on this window as you can
see, we have a lot of excess blind. We want to go ahead and take that off so that if you
lower all the way down and then you want to pop off these string caps at the bottom. Then
the rest of these are called ladders so we will have to re-undo those. We are going to
pull it out. So you can pull the lift line out, the middle of each of these and this
is your base. You are going to reserve that for later and you just want to go ahead and
pull each of these slats out that you don't want. You want to feed your base back through
that bottom ladder and pulling your lift line back through the holes. Have what you need
back in place. You are going to want to re knot the pole line. You want to make sure
it is a pretty good knot and sits up in there well. So I recommend lifting the base just
a little bit before you tie your knot. So there's the little divots in these hole covers.
You want to string what is coming back out of the hole to go through there. So there
we go; we've shortened this blind by about 2 feet and it's a good height for this window
now. So we have none more blind to do and I will show you the finished product. We have
each of these three windows now replaced with interior installed wooden blinds.
