Okay, now we're going to get ready to mount our brackets on our wood. So you're going
to take your piece of wood like I have here and you're going to want to flip it over to
your back side. Now these I've got the brackets pre-mounted for you. We're going to do, is
you want some that are going to have teeth on them and you're going to want to allow
a good space, less than a quarter of an inch so that you can slide your ribbon through
later for hanging. Now make sure that you place your brackets, you can either go long
ways and you're going to place them at the top or like I've done, lengthwise, I've mounted
brackets here as well. So whichever way you're going to lay your sign and you want it to
hang you're going to want those even spaced apart. What you're going to do is you're going
to take your brackets like I have here, we're going to place a small bit of glue, and I
need to glue the outsides of these still, so you're going to take your glue gun and
on each side along the edge you're going to place a small amount of glue and lay the bracket
inside. And then we're going to go again on the outside. You're going to hold that in
place. Once you let it dry you're going to hold it still for about ten seconds. Let that
glue harden and stiffen up. Then you can go along the outsides around the edges as well.
So we're going to hold that one for a few seconds, let that glue start to cool. Then
we're going to come over here and do the same on the outside of this bracket. And again
on the outside here. And because I've done brackets on both sides we're going to go ahead
and just affix these on the outsides here at the top. And again on the outsides here.
And just before you flip that wood over to start, again, this glue dries really quick
so you just want to give it about ten seconds if you're using hot glue. If you're using
an epoxy you're going to want to give it about a minute or two, or an Elmer's glue, to let
that really harden up. And then once you've let that dry for about ten seconds like I
said, if you're using a hot glue gun, we're ready to start over and move on.
