Following testing in Jerez, the second set of Formula One pre-season testing took place
in Barcelona on Tuesday.
Williams launched their new revamped FW35 race car at the Circuit de Catalunya where
they picked up their only Formula One race win last season, at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Pastor Maldonado was at the wheel for that race win, when he started from pole and managed
to hold off the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso.
Fifth was their best-placed finish after that, as Williams ended the season eighth in the
12-team constructors' championship.
Maldonado has a new team-mate this year, Finland's Valtteri Bottas.
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso tested for the first time this season on Tuesday, after he skipped
Jerez.
The two-time world champion posed in front of cameras with the new F138, before he tested
his new car on the track under the watchful eye of Ferrari legend Niki Lauda.
