Aqua Pure APDW80/90 Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com.
Today we’re looking at the Aqua Pure APDW80/90 filter set.
This is a proprietary set of filter cartridges designed specifically and only for the Aqua
Pure APDWS1000 drinking water system. It consists of two cartridges, a DW80 and a DW90.
These cartridges are NSF Standard 42 and 53 certified for a long list of contaminants,
and they are also certified for the unique laws and requirements of the state of California.
Let me talk about each cartridge individually. The DW80 is a 5 micron carbon block that removes
chlorine taste and odor, sediment, lead and microorganisms like cryptosporidium and giardia.
The DW90 is a 1 micron carbon block that removes VOC’s and MTBE’S; that’s methyl tertiary
butyl ether. It’s a by-product of fuel production, and really nasty stuff you don’t want in
your drinking water. Filter life for these cartridges is going
to be approximately 625 gallons or change them at least once a year. Though, you really
don’t need to worry much about it because Aqua Pure has provided this automatic filter
change indicator light. When you change the cartridges, simply press the button and then
stick this to your refrigerator, when it’s time to change the cartridges the little light
will begin flashing. It’s that simple, no need to worry just pay attention to your little
indicator light. Again, this is the Aqua Pure APDW80/90 filter
set, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com. Thanks for watching.
