To be a farmer, you have to enjoy what you do.
For me, it seems like this career path...
Since I was a child, I already know what I wanted to do.
Without the slightest doubt.
If do something, it’s because we enjoy it.
Dealing with difficult weather, grain prices... everything.
Every year is a challenge.
Every year brings new hardships and new stories.
Every year, the market is a different scenario.
Every year the weather...
Is different.
The world doesn’t have much tangible area
to pursue new agricultural ventures.
So, realistically, you have to
substantially improve crop productivity.
Using the same area, you have to produce more than you already are.
That is going to be imperative.
So, the challenge for every farmer,
in every place in the world,
is to produce more, using the same land.
The world is famished.
We need to increase production.
To the eyes of the world, it seems like Brazil
is the country that will succeed in doing so.
Or at least, will play a major role in meeting this demand.
In a way, it feels good.
It’s extremely comfortable in this...
In this mission to constantly produce more.
Because it’s something that we’ve always tried to do
since we started farming.
On the other side, we also feel
responsible for this task of
producing more and producing food that
will be healther while using less
products and chemicals in our operations.
I play a part in an activity that has
given a lot back to southern Brazil,
Brazil as a whole and even the world.
Until today, I continue to be in love with farming and will
continue to be until I find the largest yields in the world.
I will say that it is one of the most pleasurable things that exist.
Because we are doing what we sincerely enjoy.
Farming is something that doesn’t have a routine.
You have to be proud, I think, to be a farmer.
Am I right, or no?
