I think with Sean, at first he was very discouraged.
I think that, that period of time when he knew wasn't going to be
exactly who he was before the accident, it took him a while
to accept but I think what he did was he
grabbed on to something different and he looked for a way to be able to
help kids his age– whether it's high school students
or college kids that might make the same sort of mistake he did.
I think that's what Sean has grabbed onto
There's a bigger message than this: "If I just define my life
by my injury and and how terrible things are,
that's all I have, I may as well give up."
But he's grabbed onto something bigger that's what's really neat to see.
