"Conversation with Divaldo Franco"
Hello! It is beginning now another program "Conversation with Divaldo Franco".
Do you believe in witchcraft and evil eye?
Don't miss today's program! Follow the interview!
.
There are people who claim that evil eye and witchcraft are popular beliefs,
which have no meaning.
Others claim "There are more things in Heaven and Earth
than are dreamt of in your Philosophy".
And there are a third group who seem to mix these both understanding and claim:
"I don't believe in witches, but they exist".
What is Spiritism point of view?
They are popular beliefs.
Regardless of Shakespeare's thought in Hamlet;
second quotation, about witches, is a popular saying of Spanish origin,
"evil eye" and "witchcraft" are nothing but events that are included within the vibrational waves.
When it is said that someone's got evil eye
and produces the death of plants, birds and makes people sick, it is truth;
but (the explication) isn't in the eyes, but in the mind.
It is the mind that throws poisonous darts.
They are often selfish persons,
still carrying too much imperfections,
like most of us, however somewhat worse.
Jealousy, resentment... shoot this mental wave
that hits the "sentient beings" (as Buddha named them):
plants, small animals, birds...
and sometimes children get sick.
However, sometimes, the person doesn't have this knowledge
and acts like that, without realizing it.
Some of them are aware of their "negative power": they know they have.
It is, therefore, an emotional and mental issue
because once the person changes his mindset, he will have healing power.
He will can aid through vibrations.
He'll can help sick people through beneficial fluids (Note: read Chico Xavier's book "Liberation").
In the case of witchcraft,
the (material) instruments would be utilized as vehicles of magnetism.
Spirits who are vile, impure, frivolous,
they bind themselves to such fetishes, or such talismans,
or such objects which would be shields... but everything innocuous.
Kardec, in The Spirits' Book, has asked the Venerable Spirits about their point of view
and they answered: mocker spirits amuse themselves with such things (The Spirits' Book, question 553)
as well as exorcisms: words said in "sacramental character" do not affect them in no way,
but rather EXORCIST'S MORAL VALUES (Note: it can be seen in episodes of Discovery Channel series "A Haunting")
His character, his vibrations reach the point.
In the case of sorcerers, people who want to do evil, disturbing humankind,
when their mental waves have resonance and receptivity with the "supposed victim", the evil happens,
even because the person has a karma - I don't like the word "karma" - he is included in a debt which brings suffering to him.
If he doesn't have debts, in no way such negative injunction will hit him.
.
The evil eye, also named "olho gordo" ("fat eye", "gluttonous eye"),
"mandinga" or witchcraft, are expressions that belong to popular belief of several peoples,
as well as carrying such amulets of protection such as talismans, fig sign,
"carranca",
and special plants,
or making the sign of the Cross to protect themselves from the envy of others.
There are a lot of suggestions and advices to keep off these negative energies.
.
Within the Biblical tradition, covetousness is mentioned in Moses' Ten Commandments:
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house;
"you shall not covet your neighbor's wife,
"or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's".
.
The power of envious eyes is also shown in Greek mythology through Medusa figure.
Gazing directly upon her would turn onlookers to stone.
.
Leaving out tradition and folklore,
evil eye or witchcraft is nothing but harmful fluids emanation
from one individual to others, or to someone in particular.
Nowadays, science already recognizes that the power of thought is able to build or destroy.
These (mental) waves carrying forms
might be captured (by someone) if there is a "mental tuning" between the sender and receiver.
Otherwise, these mental waves return to sender,
following the principles of the Law of Action and Reaction.
.
With the purpose of studying the effects of the evil eye,
English researches put docile mice near the wild ones,
however, out of the physical reach.
Through an aggressive look and acts of intimidation,
even without suffering any scratch,
the urban docile mice died.
When the autopsy was made,
the docile mice - murdered by the gaze of the wild mice -
showed dilated adrenal glands.
A clear sign of violent nervous and emotional pressure.
.
This experiment proves that the aggressive instincts spread on the environment
can cause physical disharmony among similar creatures,
including animals,
but with the difference of they are not yet aware of the consequences of their acts
unlike human beings who are responsible for the content and direction of their thoughts.
.
Although the eyes are the windows of the soul,
feelings arise from the heart.
Therefore, there isn't a magic spell more strength than the power of love.
Against the love, there is no evil eye which resists.
.
After a quick break, we will be back talking more about "witchcraft and evil eye".
