hi im amanda with bulb america.com, In this video we will be looking at the S2 socket.
The S2 Socket is designed to support 1500 watts and 600 volts, with a Maximum Operating Temperature of 350 degree's Celcius, Which is 662 degree's Fahrenheit
Now this socket is designed for the Recessed single contact lamp, Sometimes you will get the socket unassembled
If you ever get a socket that comes in a few different pieces, we will show you how to put your socket together, you will need the Screw, The metal plate and ofcourse your wire and socket itself.
what you would do first is to flip over socket so you can see the metal piece.
You should be able to line up the plate and metal piece on the socket. Make sure the metal indicator is facing down
Next you take your wire and place it on the plate lined up with the whole for the screw
Make sure it is the flat side of the wire because otehrwise the wire will not line up with the whole for the screw.
Next you hold on to the wire very steady and begin to screw the wire secure to the metal plate.
You can use a small screw driver if needed to tighten
Now you have assembled your socket, If you look to the side you can see the maximum wattage and voltage in case you need that information.
