So, the Tokyo Dome City is right behind me... I should go there one day.
Right now, I'm going to try to take on the JR stations...
I have not taken any of them, since I got here, and unfortunately where I am seems to be a cluster *** of people
so I should probably not be just be stationary just talking to my camera, but before I got in here I'm afraid I'm going to have to buy a ticket?
I don't know if this station takes me to where I want to go. I haven't been on a JR in like, three years.
I haven't tried it since I came here, so I don't know if this is a good idea or not? I'm going to guess that it is?
Only because I know JR is way cheaper than Tokyo Metro. While I may get lost I know I'll probably at least save some money.
I haven't a whole lot of progress... I'm still in the same station.
Still here. I got a map. It's in English.
Which makes things sort of easier, except now I'm just playing a game of 'Where's Waldo?' because I'm
desperately looking for Shibuya. I thought it was like, northwest? I don't see it...
This might be a while, because I can't just get on a train and- well, I mean I could but since I want to go specifically to Shibuya
I need to figure out which train to get on and which direction, and when I need to get on a new train.
I'm sure I'm going to have to get on and get off somehow, but... Anyways, this map?
It's huge! I certainly think to myself, there is no reason I would have been directed to have gone on Tokyo Metro
if it wouldn't be the best choice. There is no reason, but...
I started thinking about it to myself, it looks like, maybe sorta kinda... JR might go up towards Kawaguchi, where I live.
If that's the case, I have no problem whatsoever spending an extra, I don't know, twenty, maybe thirty minutes
walking towards a JR station, if that means I can get a commuter pass with JR and save money.
If that's a possibility I'll go return my Tokyo Metro card, and get a PASMO through JR, or SUICA or whatever...
You know, exchange that for a commuter pass, and maybe save a crap ton of money.
Probably not, but hey man, I'd much rather spend the extra, you know, thirty minutes one way, and thirty minutes back the other
on top of my already normal, like, fifteen minute walk to my first station? If it meant I could save like, what, fifty bucks or something?
I'm going to keep looking on this map for Shibuya... Hopefully I'll find it...
Then, if I'm lucky I might get on a train and get over there a little after six. By the way
do you see that? The fog? It's cold as ***.
It's seriously cold as ***.
I made it. Well, no, I didn't make it. I still gotta do my thing.
It's refreshing as hell, actually. Being outside to get on a train? Not having to be underground in some stuffy cave?
I'm still gonna have to look into the JR ticket, like the commuter pass that I was explaining...
I'm already starting to feel like I'm cheating. Like I'm cheating on my family or something...
I'm starting to piece together that the Tokyo Metro and PASMO love each other, and that JR
and SUICA are like in their own kind of relationship, because I don't see anything about PASMO. Fortunately my PASMO card
works, so I didn't actually have to buy a ticket. That was nice... I've created this bond, with my normal route and
...oh, here comes the train.
Yeah, there is a good chance that maybe not? Maybe I won't have to do that route anymore. Maybe I'll have a completely
new pattern. I'm complaining about this routine I have? Maybe it might change? I need to shut the *** up, and get on this train.
I'm already enjoying it a hell of a lot more, but maybe it's just because it's new, I don't know...
So, how do I make this make sense to those who don't, or maybe can't follow how I'd normally describe how I'm feeling at the moment.
JR lines, that I've just been riding, kick the living *** out of Tokyo Metro. Ridiculously so. I can't even remember
the last time that I rode - ah, *** contacts... I'm pretty sure I rode JR the summer that I was here around the city
but again that was only a day I can barely remember it. I didn't really have anything to compare it to, like nothing
to... Ow! I didn't really have a whole lot of experience with Tokyo Metro but Jesus Chirst it sucks compared to
this ***. It's not because we get heated seats, or because we get peanuts or something when we ride on the train, no.
It's just because you get to see - for one you get to look outside the damn window and see a little more than just black
*** tunnel. It's not even just that though, the trains are huge!
There is a *** load of space, I'm assuming because you know, there are so many people going in and out
of the train that you kind of have to have more space, but when you're on a train that doesn't have a whole lot
of people, like let's say it's not as packed as usual? Aww, you get so much *** leg room... It's *** wonderful.
So those are just some really easy points, and easy ways to describe how I'm feeling right now
but, I don't want to get too attached because there is a very good chance I won't be able to utilize the JR lines
for my normal commute. So, while that is a little depressing I'm going to hang tight, and look around for whatever the
*** I was talking about earlier. Jeez, I hope my contacts get better because I don't want the rest of this night to be
***... *** around with my contact anymore because this is just starting to *** the *** out of me.
