I'm going to move now from trying to get messes out of things like carpets and walls to also
trying to get them out of common artists' tools and stands. And first of these is looking
at a drafting table. Drafting tables are great. You can do lots of art with pencils, pens
everything on this wonderful surface. And the first thing I want to mention is the idea
of prevention. There are actually a lot of nice clear plastic sheets that you can put
on your drafting tables. You can still draw over them just perfectly fine. It's like a
very very thin plastic sheet. And what this will do is it will keep the under drafting
table clean so you don't have to worry about it. But, if you do have to worry about it.
If you don't have that or it's just not your thing, here's a way to clean drafting tables
very simply with some sponge and some water. So you're then basically going to go over,
I like making kind of like a crescent moon shapes, seems to work pretty well. If you
actually ever get to an area where we have some material right down here, you can kind
of like extra go over that some more. Or also if you have a sponge with an abrasive side,
you can go over there and just give it a very very light scrub, basically to bring that away. Because you
don't want to scrub too hard because often depending on your drafting table you may have
a finish which shouldn't be taken off. We do this, paper towel, dry it, make sure there's
no other material or debris on the drafting table and you're ready to go.
