your first step is to remove the lower dish rack
now pull the tab back on the water supply tube and rotate clockwise to
release the lower wash arm assembly
your next step will be to uninstall the dishwasher
to do this turn off the power supply to your dishwasher
and shut off the water supply valve
remove the screws to release the lower access panel or panels
disconnect the water supply line from the inlet valve
be prepared for some water to spill out
remove the screw to release the terminal block cover plate
please note the location of the wires
now un twist the wire nuts to disconnect the wires
and loosen the screw to release the grounding wire
use a flat head screw driver to help remove the strain relief nut
and pull the wires out of the junction box
next disconnect the drain hose from the sink or garbage disposal
and feed it through the cabinet
remove the mounting bracket screws
and screw in the front leveling legs to make moving the appliance easier
now to avoid damage
very carefully pull the dishwasher away from the cabinet
once removed carefully tilt the dishwasher back so its rear panel rests
on a towel or carpet
now detach the drain hose from the soil sensor or pump housing depending on your
model
disconnect the wires to the soil sensor
removed the mounting screw and pull the sensor and shield off the pump outlet if
applicable
disconnect the wires from the drain pump
depress the tabs and rotate the drain pump counterclockwise to remove
rotate the thermistor counterclockwise and pull it out
then detach the wire harness connected to the circulation motor
pull off the three sump tabs
return the dishwasher to its upright position
and lift out the old circulation motor and pump assembly
install the new circulation motor and pump by first dampening the seal to
soften it
then aligned the front tab on the assembly with the slot in the tank
and set it into position
tilt the dishwasher back on its rear panel again
now reinsert the three sump tabs into the slots in the sump housing to secure and
seal the new assembly
be aware this may require some effort
reconnect the wire harness to the circulation motor
re insert the thermistor and rotate clockwise to lock into place
now align the *** on the drain pump with the tab on the sump housing
and rotate clockwise to snap the pump into place
reconnect the wires
if applicable reinstall the soil sensor and shield on the pump outlet
and secure with the screw
reconnect the wires
reattach the drain hose to the pump outlet or the soil sensor if applicable
now carefully lift the dishwasher to its upright position
make sure the end of the drain hose is accessible through the cabinet wall
then gently slide the dishwasher back into the cabinet
raise the leveling legs
and secure the mounting brackets to the cabinet or countertop
feed the drain hose through the cabinet
and connected to the sink drain or disposer
make sure the hose is elevated above the connection point
feed the electric line back through the junction box
and secure the strain relief nut
connect the wires using the wire nuts
and secure the grounding wire
replace the cover plate
reconnect the water supply line
replace the lower access panel or panels
and secure the screws
replace the lower wash arm assembly by setting it on the new circulation motor
and pump assembly and rotate counterclockwise
connect the wash arm tube with the water supply tube
and replace the lower dish rack
turned the water back on
as well as the power supply
to make sure the dishwashers functioning properly
