Good day! Good evening. It is I, Hagu.
It's... episode 20, isn't it!
Now then, concerning why I'm doing this narration.
Last time, we discovered the name and rough location of Esbern, but as I think his knowledge is more important than his hiding spot...
I'll be jumping forward a bit, like last time.
Esbern's quite the historian character.
Moving on, I'll be cutting the escape from Riften's sewers as well.
"Ah, and here we have one of the most important scenes."
"To say that the moment when the Old Man remembers something important to the plot
is the turning point to any great production would be no exaggeration."
"Observe the Old Man's concentrating pose."
"The final boss's weak point is knowledge known only to these sort of old historian types."
"After all, as the book he's looking at is presently closed,"
"there is no hope for us to know."
Bah, it doesn't look like I'm going to skillfully wrap this farce up, so...
I now return to our normally scheduled commentary.
Right, Sky Haven Temple, you say?
Ah, here it comes.
This is a important feature to all historian characters.
Everything this guys knows, he probably believes to be common knowledge.
Dang, that is one old-looking face.
This... this question was Delphine's, but...
for some reason, he's staring at me.
Well, even if my character's got kind of an NPC-ish face,
being Breton, there should be something to look at.
Incidentally, I read that Delphine is also Breton, but...
I can't see anything here but the pointy face of a Nord.
As we all thought, it's the Karth River.
Yeah, not this time, thanks.
Let's meet up at Karthspire.
Now then!
Let's go look for Sky Haven Temple!
Hmm, Karth is in the western regions of Skyrim, but...
Yeah, I'm going to save first.
As J'zargo often says, "who knows what we could find."
See, I told you! It's a dragon!
J, J'zargo! Look out!
Ah, as fun as it is to see the Forsworn under attack by a dragon,
well, Karthspire is right here, so, I'll just pretend I don't have any business with dragons.
You can probably see yourself, but,
there're enemies in here, too.
Which means this is a chance for me to get some sneaking in...
...or so I thought, but this old guy just barged in.
Well, all the more reason I can get some sword fighting in.
Mmm. If I don't do this, I can't level up anymore, you know.
H-hey, hold on- something's strange with this, with this guy-
No way, this Forsworn Briarheart... looks like...
Ughhhh!
I had always thought that the name "Briarheart" came from the kind-of-useful alchemy ingredient they all hold...
But it was literally his heart?!
And to get my hands on the ingredient, I've been tearing open...
I never knew, honest!
Even having risen to level 53, I never knew.
This is probably the work of a Hagraven.
Ah, not "haguraven," "HAGraven."
I'm... not connected with this.
I don't want to think about this anymore.
What?!
I just picked a symbol I liked and lined them up.
[laughs] Reminds me of the time I solved a Nord puzzle on accident in one attempt.
Ah, this symbol might come in handy later on, so let's remember it.
Looks kind of like two dragons posing.
Kind of thin, a sort of oriental... an oriental feel.
Ah, that reminds me.
The Old Man did say this place had Akaviri connections.
But man, I'm blasting through this like I've done it all before.
Seems I rolled a natural 20 on insight.
Anywho, if this were my second time playing, I'd be the first to tell you.
I wanted to bring some invisibility potions and retake the previous episode, but I didn't!
Oka- whoa! Hey Old Man, what's all this?
Okay, how's the treasure?
I do like sapphires, but jade? Not so much.
What's all- oh.
Hey now, you...
Well, I'd like to think this isn't a trap.
Seems like some sort of lecture has begun.
There's something over here, huh?
I'm not really seeing anything, though.
See? Nothing here.
Oh? Ah, I see. That big ol' face is Reman Cyrodiil, I take it.
You say that like there wasn't a real battle.
What happened, I wonder.
By the way, the love-him-hate-him Lord Talos started the third empire.
I'm a learned man too, aren't I y'geezer!
...anyway. Seems like class is over, so I guess I'll open this up.
Why you...!
Whose fault is it that I'm getting such a late start!
Here's that symbol again.
I don't know what the symbol is, mind you...
So, it just flips back?
Kind of a plain way of opening.
I haven't seen these game resources yet.
Seems we've ended up somewhere amazing.
Ah, but...
Where did all these chairs come from?
Well, let's just say they're well-made.
Now, this must be Alduin's Wall.
Being told it's one of the mysteries of the world, I'd imagine it to be a bit bigger.
But, there is something I'd like to check out.
Ah- ah, I can't really see it thanks to the lip, here.
Ah, I see!
It is indeed 3D!
I thought they were just using a bump map to make it "appear" 3D.
I'd like to help out with the lighting, but
but not only is Magelight's illumination distance short,
it makes a single point TOO bright.
Ah well, it's fun.
Now then, let's all check out Alduin's Wall.
Ooo, we've got some Akaviri warriors over here.
Oh, it starts from over there?
Hmm? Where?
Ah- ah, he's the one who looks like a Metroid Boss, then?
But seriously, I'm amazed you can figure this all out.
This sculpture's a bit...
"Romantic" style, perhaps...?
It's kind of difficult to piece together.
Falling from the sky? I suppose that means... ah...
It's that one...
I think I've figured it out.
Ah, I think I've heard about this out over the internet.
I suppose it's only natural that at the pace I'm playing this,
I'd end up encountering some spoilers.
I'm getting pretty confident, now.
But I have no idea where I'm supposed to learn "that" shout.
I get it. The Greybeards might know.
Hey now, isn't that a bit rude?
Now just a moment!
There's some complex reasons for that!
If you read all those plates- ah, no,
learn from the emblems!
You uncultured swine.
Now that's quite clearly false.
Oh, referencing that, then. "What Would Tiber Septim Do?"
Y'know, it might be best to not look up to Tiber Septim as a hero.
But, anyway, I ain't afraid o' no power.
Then, I'll go ask about the shout. 'kay?
See y'later.
Now, come on, you!
Er- ah, well, I've called them something similar...
Yeah, yeah. Ah! I got an achievement!
[laughs lightly] Hey everybody, he just called a katana a "longsword."
I find it difficult to believe she'd lend you her ear.
[sigh] Hey, isn't that... isn't that...!
An Oblivion gate, I wonder!
Nah, looks different, somewhat.
Ah, we're not going to figure anything more out by just staring at Alduin's Wall, so...
Shall we move out?
Now then, next time, I'lll be asking about that shout, but before that,
I intend to give some thought to my final armor set.
I'm getting tired of my dragon scale armor, don't you know.
Let's have ourselves a bit of a fashion show, why don't we!
And I'll have the results be decided by you, the viewers! Don't miss it!
