Welcome to the second review of Auto-Top.nl.
I'm the other presenter and we will try to supply you with some good reviews.
Today we have the main competitor of the Renault Clio RS, the Opel Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition.
This Corsa has 210 BHP, from a 1.6 Turbocharged 4-cylinder.
This is not entirely true.
Because you have to have gas with an octane level of 100 or up.
And in Holland is this not available, only 98.
And than it has around 200/205 BHP, but this is more than enough.
The main reason to buy this car has to be the limited slip diff.
We were driving on very wet roads yesterday.
And you can really feel it pulling you through the corner
where many other FWD cars would send you into the bushes.
Also adding to the driving experience are the seats and the steering wheel.
The steering wheel is nice and thick with a flattened bottom
and the seats from Recaro offer great support in the faster corners.
And they are comfortable as well.
We've been driving for a couple of hours now
and with really hardcore bucket seats you are going to feel it in your back.
But not with these ones.
The styling of this car is not for everyone
but it does have beautiful 18" wheels that are great in combination with the colour.
You also get a huge rear spoiler that is just a little bit too big.
Also some gills at the front, that are supposed to cool your breaks
but they are not connected to anything.
They've fitted two pretty big exhausts
so you expect to hear a great noise
but that is not true because it sounds like pretty much any other corsa.
All in all I have to say that Opel offers a great alternative for the Clio RS
The Clio RS gives more feedback while driving
but than this Corsa is a bit faster.
This effort of OPC does make us wonder about the new Astra OPC
that is coming later this year and will have 280 BHP.
