DISCOVERING THE BRAZIL OF SOCIAL ENTERPRISES
It is very nice to see that you are helping people,
that you are serving someone who would have no alternative.
This is very nice, it feels good.
Policlínica Granato is a popular clinic.
We offer medical and dental care,
laboratory tests and imaging exams,
with quality, comfort and agility at a price that people
who do not have health insurance can afford.
We focus on the public that do not have health insurance,
and most of that public is composed by the classes C /D /E.
In Brazil, 70% of the population
has no health insurance.
We cannot say that the service provided by SUS is always poor.
Very often the demand is very high and they can’t deal
with the volume of service. As a result,
it is hard and takes too long to schedule something.
We also have patients who have health insurance
but want to schedule an exam
and through the insurance it would take two months.
If the patient needs a chest X-ray,
here we do it every day, all day.
So the patient comes here, pays R$36,00
and leaves with the chest X-ray.
The same applies to stress testing,
or some tests that are difficult to schedule
through the health insurance,
here at the clinic we can make it much faster.
I like the structure,
I have indicated the clinic to some people.
I loved it, both the service and the structure.
My father told me to come, he found the clinic and loved it.
I had a problem in my arm and came to see the orthopedist.
Today I came to see the dermatologist and liked both.
Consultations cost on average R$62,00
and we serve from newborns to the elderly.
It is a polyclinic, we have all kinds of medical care -
pediatrics, geriatrics,
gynecology, obstetrics.
All kinds of medical care and also complementary exams.
So the big advantage is that the patient
can do everything in the same place.
During medical school we pass through several SUS hospitals.
The lack of service is very evident.
Patients cannot do certain exams,
or cannot have medical care.
There is lack of resources,
sometimes there is lack of doctors and material.
Most of the times there is lack of money.
It is very evident that there is a gap
in the SUS service and we decided to take advantage of it.
It's much faster to schedule
and the service of all the doctors is very good.
My grandmother came and liked it too.
All who come here like it a lot.
They have competitive advantage.
People are not here just for the money,
they are here because it is good for them,
they feel like they are giving
something to people, to society.
They are providing health care for an unassisted public.
