An alleged soldier with the violent MS-13 gang who is wanted for his role in the murders
of his girlfriend and her 2-year-old son is the latest addition to the FBI's Ten Most
Wanted Fugitives list.
Juan Garcia and two MS-13 gang members lured 19-year-old Vanessa Argueta and her toddler
Diego to a wooded area in Islip, New York in 2010. Case agents James Lopez and Reynaldo
Tariche describe the horrific scene...
They shoot Vanessa once, then they shoot her again. First in the head, then in the chest.
After seeing his mother shot, Diego Torres, the two-year-old boy, was then executed himself-
shot in the head twice.
Agents say in between shots little Diego cried and screamed Garcia's name. They say the motivation
behind the double homicide was retaliation because Vanessa had ties to rival gangs.
Garcia, who is known as Cruzito, fled to El Salvador where he born. He also has been linked
to Panama and Honduras. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Please come forward so that we can get this violent criminal off the streets and bring
him to justice for the terrible crime of killing the mother and her child.
A reward of up to $100,000 is being offered for information leading to Juan Garcia's arrest.
