Can you explain what is Cafh?
Cafh is a path of spiritual unfolding
Cafh allows us to
expand our consciousness,
expand our love
through the spiritual work that we do on ourselves
So what's the difference between a spiritual community and a religion?
A spiritual community, a Cafh
community, has many things in common
with a religious community
we are similar in that we have a method of life, a daily schedule that allows time
for
prayer and meditation; but it's not supported on dogma that one has to believe
we do have a set of teachings
that help us understand life and death
and this whole experience much better
in a very open and free way
they're very sound common-sense ideas
and they allow us to reflect
on ourselves,
and they help us unfold spiritually
every part of a human being's life is included in the life of community
you have time for expansion
you have time in which you are alone
and you can
pray and you can be with yourself
you have a time in which you are with other individuals and you are creating
relationships
there is a time in which you're working
and all your mind is there. That's something that I find
very beautiful
you live the moment
you're not worried about anything else, and then you can remove everything else
that is superfluous
so
you know when you are
having fun you are having fun, really!
when you are eating, you are eating and you are conscious of that act
when you're talking with somebody, you are there for that person
we work with children; when we are with the children we're there, for the children,
there is nothing else
that is coming to our mind that is getting me distracted
it expands you
We like to work on our relationships
because we think it's very important
as an experience for humanity to learn
to live together
to relate well no matter who we are or how we are
We want to be part of the world. We don't want to be
aside or away
from everybody's experience
and we do this
by making our own living
we sustain ourselves financially
in a meaningful way also,
we work with young children in our particular community
When you join Cafh
what do you gain and what do you give up?
what you give up... it's a really good question, because
in one way I would say what i really gave up
was my previous idea of who I was. In some ways we leave everything we used to
know in life to come and live in the community
but that process
gives one a
kind of
ever deepening capacity for introspection,
for understanding
really the most profound things about life
So how do i know if
a spiritual community is right for me?
that's quite a journey
the journey begins looking inside
looking deep inside and finding inside yourself
that true voice
A vocational retreat is something that we offer through Cafh to give
individuals that chance to really stop and think about their life
you'll be able to have some time to yourself
you'll have some guidance also, we'll help you,
you know, in that process of
talking to yourself discovering yourself
you will come,
have time for silence,
for recollection, reflection,
you will also have time to express yourself,
ask questions, be listened to,
and to be able to express yourself without barriers
you know we usually have some barriers: this we can say,
this maybe is too spiritual, or is too from inside myself
in general we make choices as we go along
or I make choices influenced by what
I inherited from my family, from my culture, the country where I lived
but when do I make a choice that is really from inside myself?
that is
something that
you can do in a vocational retreat. A vocational retreat gives you that possibility
to really be in touch with yourself
and to really ask yourself
who am I?
why am I here?
What do I want to do in this little space of time that I call "my life"
and that it will make a difference?
