Lauren: What type of food that you like to take? They’re a lot of people saying, you
should little up on carbs before you play or maybe you should little up on protein.
So how would you say the breakup of you know, your carbs, your fats, your proteins should
go if you want to be at the top of your game?
Marc: Athletes will use carbohydrates, in other words, your body loves carbohydrates
because it will also give your body the energy to train and to recover. Where protein will
give you more of the elements of the nutrients which is to rebuild muscles and rebuild itself.
So that’s what the role of protein is. If you need to add some fun in your diet as well,
ok obviously you need the right types of fats, so you need to eat the right thing. I’m
talking about the three main components of nutrition which are carbs, fat and protein.
But now, how much of it you should have is you know, there is a complex formula and it
won’t really depends of each people but as a role of____ for each person, if you try
to eat healthy, you should have good carbs and good protein with each meal and ___of
kind a____ there anyway. So if you put some oil in your stuff or you put a salad dressing,
or you know there are some fats and proteins as well, dairy milk, cheese. There’s a lot
of fat that contains in the food that we eat on a daily basis. You will get your essential
fats. What you want avoid in terms of fats is obviously all the fright stuffs; chips,
French fries, fried chicken, anything that is cooked in oil, is usually very bad for
you. Not only from a health perspective, but also for a performance perspective. If you
want to eat well, you want to make sure that you eat enough. Like the problem of most Athletes
is just don’t eat enough. Eating healthy or what I call performance nutrition, eating
for performance. Basically, you want to make sure that you eat often enough, and you eat
enough of each of the components of the nutrition which are enough carbs, you know the good
carbs, enough of the good proteins, and have some manage meals and also you know good fats.
