I'm Dante Mena the author of the Adventure Hungary travel guide and here on behalf of
Expert Village and we will learn a little bit more about how to get around in the city
using the public transportation system. Here we are at the Nyugati train station and metro
intersection. We're in the bottom floor where the metro system comes to the Nyugati and
you can see behind me the two end destinations of the blue line. The Nyugati is on the blue
line and of course, it is also one of the major train stations of Budapest. Having said
that we already know what we want to do with tickets and how we arrive and go up and down.
Going up on the Nyugati make sure that you walk, if you want to go to the train station,
you walk in the direction where I am going the Szent Istvan korut. The Szent Istvan korut
is pointed with a sign and that will take you up the metro system and look for the signs
at the top of the escalator that you point you to the train station. Small yellow signs
that will take you directly to the location where you can by tickets to other major destinations
throughout Hungary and also throughout the rest of Europe. If you look behind me, you
can see that these people are going on Vaci ut entrance, which was the blue sign just
above behind me. It's opposite from the other direction that takes us to the transport system;
but you can see signs above in blue behind me on both sides, one that will take you to
the train stations and one that takes you to Vaci ut. Going up this escalator, we will
have an immediate interconnection with the Nyugati shopping center. Now let's go up and
take a look.
