Today we will make Dubki kadhi recipe.
We make Dubki curry with water pakoris.
Let’s see what ingredients are required for making Dubki kadhi.
Curd - 300 grams (1.5 cup)
Moong dal - 150 grams (less then 1 cup) Soaked for 3-4 hours and then grind coarsely.
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
Asafoetida - 1-2 pinch
Salt - as per taste or 1 tsp
Red chilly powder - less then ¼ tsp
Ginger - 1 inch piece (grated)
Green chilly - 1-2 (finely chopped)
Oil - 1-2 tbsp
Green coriander - 1-2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Add some salt and whisk the dal nicely
Keep the dal bit coarse.
Whisk the dal for 3-4 minutes.
With this dal will become puffy.
Firstly we will make Pani Pakori.
Place water for boiling on flame.
Cover so that water starts boiling quickly.
After water boils we will make pakoris.
Now place the pakoris in boiling water.
Keep note that water boils constantly.
If there is no constant boil in water pakoris will dissolve.
Cook on high flame
Keep little amount of dal.
Boil the pakoris for 10 minutes
Stir constantly after adding curd
We have used 6-7 cups of water.
Add turmeric powder
and salt
Stir until kadhi starts boiling.
Kadhi is ready; now we will prepare tadka for kadhi.
Preheat a small pan and add oil into it.
When oil gets hot add asafoetida and cumin seeds.
After sautéing cumin seeds add green chilly
ginger
and red chilly powder.
Tadka is ready; now add this into kadhi.
Dubki curry is ready.
Now add coriander leaves into it.
Serve Dubki kadhi with chapatti, naan or parantha.
