Chris Matthews was on or a TV talking with larry king and the topic
love hosts having pressure put on them by their network to sort of Qadir
ideologically to the audience came up
now he originally wanted to talk about megan kelly which really get to
but eventually the question is will try to him and he might have revealed
something that
we've speculated on here ourselves so touch with Matt is
and I'm watching Fox will
the whatcha megan kelly be able to stay in the middle I was she was only
but she move over pushy at more with them a look at Granite
great it was more a center-left that she's moved out
it there's a lotta group pressure in those places in a place she was there is
a Mizzou I feel it I think it's there
I mean I think you know your audience you know you're talking to I was done
talking to
so not just the facts news he admits that MSNBC they also feel that pressure
yeah I'm amazed by several parts this story absorb all
I am like that made and tell us the middle I know
yeah I could probably comes from that
targeted put/call roll this place election-night that'd
that's largely and standing up for
a the working women like yeah I like how about about whether women can earn more
than men whether that's
the masculine yes I so he
on Fox's if you're not insane well you have in the center
not many twice if you're curious I
here but you're the center sanity and insanity bright bright red mint writer
%uh the same here was abused by is I love larry king is 98 you know I'm
he's not little you think maybe you might literally be an idea
I great yeah I
hey is is my nephew said like he just keeps shop
like yet yeah he's on your TV or whatever that is and you know and so any
shopping is like he's doing interviews he's in the right to
it but like and I know we took a terrible sleeper there for him
but it was a girl the her bankers like I got
okay and that I distribution for Sony bit flirty there too I know that he's
always use
he talks about alone like you like that so now though they are amused by
is that we're going to Chris Matthews for what I was at MSNBC and
I was a message a like scarlet letter a master
explain it yes interview
give you a little bit justice because yeah
how much credibility you have and what you went through and now you have
someone who currently works MSNBC
was basically reinforcing what you had previously said all yeah
yeah okay I mean I don't wanna be a ***
but get ready like put what are we I mean
no *** I mean a little bit but what would reveal your
yes it's a he didn't actually say what you said it which I think
who everyone who's smart nose is true but the
this pressure to do with the white house as judged to be more partisan was a
liberal network
every prime-time host is liberal you know there's degrees the weather there
you know true progressives or whether they'll the whether they'll get angry at
Obama from the left but I mean
as a liberal that working toward that they wouldn't do with this pressure you
would get hired muscle
clue but that's it received let me address both those things yes brought up
now and you're right I mean like
so some people cuz I left in a you know interesting
way they will say oh well you know maybe he's better or something like that it
will reduce my credibility and I was in there as long as Chris Matthews been
right so like it to have somebody else confirm it is very relevant
right %uh number two defense point been like what's interesting about it
is the anchors know that and then they start to bet
right and the bed in that direction I don't know the better direction they
were already inclined towards
or sometimes they better direction they work already inclined was like greta van
susteren
I feeling issues on MSNBC sure about the other way she's out like sushi bench to
the right
so I don't know what chris matthews real opinions are yeah I know he loves
politics I know he also loves establishment like workers in power we
covered for decades now
yeah I mean literally right it when he was House happy with bush any luck
bushing now all the sudden he loves Obama
not libel yeah he thought we had on mount rushmore if they have elections in
Iraq and they held elections in Iraq
right yeah so and now it's Paris in such bad at all
against the wall yeah only a small except for the times was bored
%uh so it's fascinating to see him say an admit
hey you know what you know we bend yeah because I'm sorry go ahead
okay so it that he sorta admits that there's this pressure to be partisan
it's not entirely clear that I mean at
I guess they're implying sorta party base think I think he's talking more
ideological their
right that's why I'm that's why didn't resonate at all exactly but the the
thing is that they're having this conversation and that's and the big
headlines are oh as revealing the stuff
but not talking about the actual bias is that matter like
like you said like the bias towards the establishment towards on
whenever is like a a group on the left the equivalent to the Tea Party comes up
while up
Occupy Wall Street things like that like oh no don't worry about them like
they're much more important by the season
ok gotta we gotta argue about Democrats and Republicans just
I feel like that it and and I i really know or a TV but that larry king is his
network activities are
that Britain representative being like like fourteen years too late
lately that I you know is a cable it was when I started now we got it seems like
this
people from the right people from the left and they just argue
so they should have this conversation during the first crossfire 39 yeah the
trailer that
the truck that was obviously a liberal network box conservative at work
but they're not equal by the way but that's not a distinction
that dome not gonna be prepared for anybody to make here
up just going back to what Chris Matthews said that clip there was one
title part where you said
I know my audience and that actually that would
really really a apparent to me because
the network might push certain bias but
at some point it changes we're audiences any kind of like
makes your audience very concrete in what their beliefs are so
you work force to cater to them even if you disagree with
whatever our viewpoint their favor you don't wanna go against what your
audience wants to hear
so they have a very pro bono audience anyone else has anything against it
all experience dropping their ratings that's just the way it works so that
that's a great point at
so a lot of this is not just management its audience rate
and so you get to types of signals when you're on a cable network like MSNBC
one is from management hey take it easy there okay
and remember who the home team is your things like that that are set right
and then the second know she gets from your right so when you
when I went against Obama my ratings would drop now
I didn't care I would say look I want to do any interesting exciting
on a show and I think in the long run on it will be there and I think it was
proven right in the last quarter we were incredibly strong right
but in the short term when you see em DEP every acre panics
I we look what's fascinating is that inside the building
everybody looks at the ratings to be a good night the
94 people Italy hi fi you know holes you like a few
you what lol and if we start I had a bad night ever is like alike
and you know it's like learning about J we're talking about people a day trader
earlier today
and like like the what MS like the cable news world they're like day traders
like their potent and like bad day trips like
you got if you make an investment it for the long haul you gotta be able to
withstand the fluctuations and they're not
able to withstand a flood damage
