Hello everybody! Ari is back with another video!
Not too long ago I uploaded my recipe for baking dinner rolls. Thanks to all of you, the video was very popular!
While I was trying to think of a new recipe.
I looked at my dough and it sorta looked like 4 Rilakkumas riding on a roller coaster!
So today I’ve decided to make Rilakkumas on a roller coaster!
This one is going to be fun! Let’s begin!
OK Here are the ingredients that will be used today.
This is soft flour and whole wheat-flour. If you blend these two together, you’ll end up with more fragrant and fluffier rolls!
Add the two into a mixing bowl.
Grape see oil - we won’t be using any butter today!
Instant dry yeast - a must for baking bread!
Salt
Honey - Today we won’t be using any sugar either!
Water!
A mixing bowl
OK Let’s do this!
First add the powders to the bowl
Soft flour 153g + whole-wheat flour 47g
salt 3g
honey 20g
Before I add the yeast, it’s important to know that when the yeast is mixed with other ingredients, it might lose its ability to rise, so dig a hole in the middle of the ingredients, pour it in the center, then cover it up with flour.
instant dry yeast 4g
Finally add some water. water 126g
Add the grape seed oil only after all the other ingredients have been mixed together.
Time to get our hands dirty!
Once your dough looks like this, pour in the oil
grape see oil 20g
To make sure you’re not wasting any of the oil, use a mixing bowl!
The dough might feel a bit stiff at first, so shred it into piece and continue to knead it.
Once the oil has been mixed well with the dough, continue to knead it while slamming it on the table.
When you stretch the dough and see a thin gluten sheet, the dough is ready!
Roll it up nicely, then place it into a bowl while covering it with wrap then let it sit and rise.
After 40 minutes the dough would have risen 2.5 - 3 times the original size!
Stage 1 is now complete!
Before we perform the finger test, I’ll explain some of the additional ingredients.
With the ingredients we have prepared today, you’ll roughly get about two sets of roller coasters.
I thought it would be a good idea to use this longer pan.
In order to divide them evenly you’ll also need a scale
scaper
roller
dough board
For the first set, I’ve decided to add some sweet white bean paste into them!
Here’s the bean paste.
Smear some flour on your finger for the finger test!
Weigh the entire batch first.
Mine came out to be around 356 grams.
First divide the dough into 8 pieces, then take out 2 grams from each piece.
The two grams will be used for the cute ears!
As you can see, I have 8 pieces for the heads and 16 for the ears.
Before we roll them into shapes, cover the rest with a damp cloth.
Let’s roll the first one!
Pinch the dough closed with the bean paste inside.
Roll the tiny ears too!
Slightly pinch the ears into flat shapes.
Quick 3-5 minute break for the dough!
My tip of the day! Make sure to coat the dough with milk to help it maintain its shape without them bursting!
190 - 200 degrees for about 20 minutes
After cooling the bread, it’s time to draw in the faces.
I’ll be using a chocolate pen today for the faces
One is a dark chocolate pen and the other is a white chocolate pen.
Time to draw!
Now that the faces have been drawn in,
I’ve made a roller coaster for them to ride in. Check the link below to download the blueprints.
All aboard!
I’m sure this will be a gift for your friends that they’ll never forget!
Once again thank you all for liking and subscribing to my channel. Be sure to come back to check out my new recipes!
Have a good one everybody!
