[song "Dream Team" by Lazerbeak]
LIBRARIAN: Hello PATRONA: Hi LIBRARIAN: How can I help you today? PATRONA: So we're curious...
We live in Longfellow neighborhood
and we're curious about our house, which is from 1907.
LIBRARIAN: Well we get your address,
and we uh...get the permit card;
and the permit card will tell us who um...built it
and uh...some changes that were done to the house.
And then from there
we usually can go look at the city directories
to find out who lived there.

LIBRARIAN: This lists the house when it was first built,
1907.
PATRON: Yes, it's true.
LIBRARIAN:These two guys are probably the most interesting,
'cause you have a house built, and then in 1912
they built the foundation under it, afterwards.
So they may have lifted it up, put a foundation under it,
and then put the house back on it.

LIBRARIAN: There's no James Stanley but there's a Jacob at the same address,
married to Maud.
Sometimes the directories get the names wrong,
but I think it makes sense to look for Maud Stanley
in the 1930 census.
