Hi, I'm Trevor Bending from OpticsPlanet and I'm here today to talk a little about the
Burris FastFire III.
Now this is the newest in the FastFire line from Burris. As you can see, this is what
we call a mini red dot or an MRD and you can see it compared to my hand, it's pretty tiny.
Lot of things this little guy can actually do for you, very common, you can put it on a pistol,
you can put it on a rifle, you can put it on a shotgun. Burris make this very multi-faceted.
Burris sells a lot of different mounts for popular pistols: Glocks, Springfield XD,
1911 variants. All you do is you take this mini sight, put it on top of there, and now
you have a mini reflex sight on top of your pistol.
This comes with a mount or without a mount, so you can see here I have a weaver/picatinny
mount on there right now. So you can buy the FastFire III with that mount or without that mount
just in case you want to use it with either your pistol mount or even now the SpeedBead Mount
Burris makes the SpeedBead Mount sold separately so you can now mount a FastFire III on your shotgun
using a SpeedBead Mount. So, you can use this as a primary optic on a pistol or a shotgun,
or these are very popular as seconary optics on a rifle. As you can see in front of me
right now, I have an M4 setup with a Burris 332.
332 comes with a pic rail on top or the sides, I can take my Burris FastFire and mount it
on top on my primary optic so now I have a secondary optic,
or you can buy an offset mount and you can mount it on the offset position
to use as a secondary optic. Now what I mean by secondary optic is if you're shooting
your primary optic, this is a magnified optic. This has eye relief. The FastFire is a 1x sight
with no eye relief. So if I was in an awkward position, laying down for instance,
and I can't shoulder and get the proper eye relief for my primary optic,
pivot to the side, I have a perfect line of sight through that 1x reflex sight
and now I can use that as a secondary optic.
So the Burris FastFire is very very multifaceted, you can use it on a lot of platforms
and some of the improvements from the earlier FastFire models are: you have the on/of switch
on the side here and it has an automatic setting, high, medium, and low and then you can turn it off.
The FastFire III also, this is probably the coolest thing about it,
it has a top battery compartment. A lot of mini red dots have the battery compartment
located in the bottom where you have to take the sight off, change the battery,
put it back on, and then you need to resight in. The FastFire III has a top mounted battery compartment
so you don't have to worry about taking the sight off, just unscrew the top,
switch the battery, you're ready to rock. It's also waterproof as well, so you don't
have to worry about it going in water and ruining the seal or anything like that.
The FastFire III also comes with a sun shade you can stack on top,
and if you've ever shot during the day, you know a lot of these red dots
burn out in the daylight, you can't see them. The FastFire III comes with a sun shade
so you can put that on top, so you never lose sight of that dot.
Now you can get this unit in two different reticle choices, you can either select from
a 3.5 MOA dot reticle or an 8 MOA dot reticle.

I'm Trevor Bending, thanks for watching.
