The Health and Human Performance department makes me proud to be a lion.
I came here initially to Texas A&M Commerce to play soccer, and I have changed
departments many times, changed majors. You know how that goes.
I stay in the Health and Human Performance department because it is
so attractive to students.
The teachers come into the classroom with this positive energy and it's contagious. You
walk away engaged and they challenge you, but they also encourage you.
Our department on campus, one of the things I like most about it, it's spread apart. Like I've
done science. I've done anatomy and physiology. I've done business. I've done marketing. We go
to humanities. We do art. We do sociology. We do psychology. So it's a
well-rounded education. It's not just, yeah it's emphasis on health and wellness and
exercise science and sport and kinesiology, but it's also
everything else that goes into that. So, I've had classes in every building on campus,
and I think that sets us apart as well because
we're more well-rounded as students in the end.
