Hi everyone! Today i will do a kit review again, it´s been a while since the last one.
I wasn´t in the mood to do one lately.
In the last review i announced that i will unbox the German Civilians from MiniArt in 1/35 scale in the next video.
As you can see on the box cover this set contains five different figures:
A married couple, an old woman, a boy from the Hitler Youth and a policeman.
On the back you can see that it is possible to build the policeman in two poses.
You have the choice between the common police hat and a steel helmet aswell as different arms.
This pose looks like he is controling the traffic and i´m not sure about this pose, its rather neutral.
Down below we have a paint chart refering to the most common paint brands like Vallejo, Tamiya, Humbrol, Revell and so on.
In my opinion you don´t need those informations, you can use the boxart as reference for the paints.
Inside the box we have this small sheet of paper showing the two sprues of the kit and the number of each part.
There is no numbering of the parts on the sprues, but we don´t need them anyway. It is pretty obvious which parts belong together.
I like the heads a lot, the facial expressions are great!
The level of detail is good, for example the uniform of the policeman is nicely detailed.
There is a lot of flash, especially on this hand here. Not great but its rather easy to remove with a sharp knife or sandpaper.
You can´t expect to much, these figures are not very expensive.
Plastic figures of civilians in this scale are pretty rare, so we can live with that.
With a little bit of extra work to remove the flash you get some great looking figures.
Its definately a nice and interesting set of figures, we don´t have to build scenes with soldiers all the time.
Some very cool car kits of the 30´s and 40´s were released by several manufacturers in this scale lately,
should be a good combination with these figures.
I like the policeman and the Hitler Youth boy in particular, they should look great on a nice little diorama.
I´m thinking of a scene where the Hitler Youth boy is looking at a propaganda poster or something like that.
That would make a little "history lesson" in 1/35 scale.
I can recommend these figures for everyone, the figures are interesting.
The kit costs about 8,50€ so its not overpriced. Everyone who is interested in these figures can buy them without hesitation.
In the next kit review i will unbox the Tiger I from Hobby Boss in 1/16 scale.
I wish you happy modelling, see you in the next video, your Hamilkar Barkas.
