Hi, we will be starting with good morning in Japanese. Good morning is Ohayou Gozaimasu.
Please repeat after me, Ohayou Gozaimasu. You could also use just Ohayou for casual
conversation. Repeat after me, Ohayou. Good. When I was studying English I used this trick
I would find a word in the Japanese that sounds similar to it in the English word. What does
Ohayou sound to you? A lot of people say it sounds like Ohio the states name. So if it
is easy for you you can use this trick to remember Japanese words. Repeat after me again,
Ohayou Gozaimasu. Sounds good. So let's pretend, so let's pretend that I met you at a hallway
I'm your new Japanese neighbor and it is 10 am in the morning. So I would see your in
the hallway Ohayou Gozaimasu. Did you say that? Don't get nervous if you get nervous
you can just say Ohayou. Let's do that one. Hello. Ohayou. Did you say that? Good. Remember
there is a trick to Japanese pronounceable. Every consonant has to be followed by a vowel.
So the last one for example Ohayou Gozaimasu. So it has to be s not sss. That sound does
not exist in Japanese.
