I strongly believe we should spread the word about what we're doing, because this is the
site where we can exchange ideas, learn from other people, to try to achieve
improvement and offer better service to our patients.
Our IR team has submitted four presentations for this CIRSE meeting. Every time I enjoy
the CIRSE meeting and I hope to join the next CIRSE meeting.
I'm talking about prostatic arterial embolisation to treat lower urinary tract symptoms in patients
with BPH or prostate enlargement. CIRSE is dedicated to education, innovation and scientific
research, so this is a great opportunity to exchange our results, discuss and present
them with the most experienced physicians in the minimally invasive image-guided therapies,
which are the interventional radiologists.
The topic of my free paper is islet cell transplantation in patients with chronic pancreatitis who
underwent total pancreatectomy. Regarding the potential impact, I believe that these
patients will benefit from the transplant of islet cells.
CIRSE is one of the largest, if not the largest meeting in interventional radiology and minimally
invasive image-guided therapies right now so if you're a physician working in this area,
it's one of the best places to present your latest results and trials, because you'll
have the most experienced physicians to discuss your results.
