If you have created quiz that needs multiple retakes or have allowed students to take a
quiz multiple times you need to tell blackboard the score it needs to consider for their final
grade. This video will show you how to set that up in the full grade center. The first
thing I'm going to do is look at my full grade center and find a quiz that allows multiple
attempts. Then I need to use the drop down chevron to Edit Column Information. You can
see I have moved my screen down to where the primary display secondary display are represented.
Under the secondary display you will see an option for "score attempts using" and another
drop down icon. The default is set to "last grated attempt" and you will want to either
set this up so that you can average the scores or use the highest score that is the highest
grade that students had on that assessment. Once you've selected that all you need to
do is click submit. And that is how you can tell blackboard which score to use as the
final grade on the multiple attempt quiz.
