Melanie: I'm here with Leanne Marshall. We just got to see the most
spectacular show. Leanne, how are you feeling on this very exciting day?
Leanne: It is, it is. I'm, I have to admit I'm relieved. I was up all
night working still and it's been, it's been probably the most hectic, and
short planned collection of all time. I've been really busy with bridal
wear lately, so, the Ready-To-Wear kind of took it's, took it's back seat.
Melanie: What was your inspiration? I know we saw a, a lot of blues as
well in the . . .
Leanne: My starting point was I was, I saw an image of a, it was like a
satellite image of glaciers. Kind of the, the whites fading into deep blues
and all different kinds of blues into greens and, yeah, I, I loved its
colors and it also kind of inspired me to, to play around with dying
technique to try and emulate, you know, those kind of, those gradiations
and fades from, from blue to white. Yeah, it was, I had fun with it.
Melanie: And I know that makeup, designed by Nathan Johnson, played a
huge role in this show. Do you think that the makeup really added on to the
look?
Leanne: Absolutely. I, I'm blessed to have Nathan always design my
makeup looks for me. He, he does a great job of capturing what my
inspiration for the collection is, and highlighting the, the feature and
prominent colors in just the right way that it still makes the woman look
beautiful, and just adds a little touch of something special to her.
