The South African Times newspaper has been accused of 'poor translation'
when it quoted Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini saying gay people
are 'rotten'. Prince Mbonisi said 'At no stage did His Majesty condemn
gay relations or same-sex relations,'
A teacher in the UK has been banned from teaching, after a string of abusive and
homophobic incidents. Jason Gibbs was found guilty of all allegations against
him and cannot appeal the decision for at least 2 years.
The Brazilian state of Sao Paolo has teamed up with its metro transport system to
launch an anti-discrimiation campaign titled 'See beyond prejudice. Respect
differences.' 58 stations are displaying a selection of brightly coloured posters
depicting trans women, declaring 'Look! Look again!'
Randy Phillips, the US Airman who came out to his father and posted a clip of the
event on YouTube, has announced that he's joining the annual LifeCycle fundraiser
this year. He hopes to raise $10,000 so visit aidslifecycle.org and pledge your support.
And finally, to launch her silver jubilee, Kylie will be performing at Sydney Mardi Gras
in March. The pop princess has performed there twice before in recognition of her gay fanbase.
