Hello everybody. This is Transdude1996, and welcome to my Let's Play of "XIII".
Or "Xiii", or "X I I I", or "13", or whatever the heck you wish to call it.
Oh yeah, something really interesting I want to show before I actually start the game.
The "Goofy controls are the N64 controls. Okay, enough of that, now let's actually start it.
Start this game of intrigue and mystery, of *** and mayhem, of...spies and...cloak and dagger stuff.
And, during the cutscenes like these, I'll try to stay quiet since there's no subtitles. No clue why.
And, no, those don't really help at all because, for some reason, you don't actually encounter subtitles unless you're actually playing the game.
And, he looks smug.
Seems a bit delayed, don't you think?
The...
...lip sync.
Oh, that guy sounds familiar, I forget from where.
Isn't that quite an opening?
Holy crap, I think I know why amnesia's the best...well, plot device used for introducing characters into the world because then...
...you're pretty much the character yourself, you fill in all the blanks with all the stuff you know, but...
...then again, the protagonist you're playing as doesn't know anything either.
So, therefore, it's a perfect Segway to introduce the game's world to the player.
Why didn't I realize that before?
The things you notice when you play games.
Is it just me, or does she have a really weird walk?
Okay? Let's go somewhere.
And, we're back in the present.
Why'd we faint? We have 50% health.
I think it's a bit late for that.
We weren't feeling faint, we fainted.
Tat swimsuit looks painted on.
Oh, well, not her, but just seing the sound effects is just what I found funny.
No, her death is tragic.
Don't worry lifeguard lady, we will avenge you.
Let's go into the other side.
There's that.
More throwing knives...
There, we avenged you.
Okay, now where do we go?
That way's closed off, and that way we can't go either.
Oh, yeah, we have the keys now, don't we?
Okay...
Ah, darn it.
Oh, wow, we actually did get to see us. That's really cool.
For some reason, I have a memory of seeing him doing that, but he looked very much like a puppet, or something.
You know like, when Kermit just goes crazy, or applauds, and how he just swings his arms back and forth. That's what it looks like.
