So at this point I'm going to demonstrate some seven Mag shading techniques. I've completed
all the tips. I've hit the tips with a five round shader or a five round liner and now
we're going to hit it with the seven Mag. There's some different techniques to show
you here. And I'm going to start right here and do a blending. Because with a Mag you
can do a lot better blends than you can do with a liner or even a round shader. So here
we go. And as you can see, normally with a Magnum you would shovel the ink in, down to
up and push the ink in. But in this case since we're doing a blend, I'm using the Magnum
needles backwards against the tension of the rubber bands. So the Magnum is actually pulling
up in the needle tube and creating even less trauma to the skin that it would normally
happen. And that's how you get a really nice, smooth, buttery blend. By working the needles
backwards. So let me show you here again, how to do that in reverse. I'm pulling back
against the tension of the rubber bands like this and pulling out.
