Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your friendly host Varstahl and I'm here to bring you another episode of Golden Gaming
Today we're gonna play a new puzzle game named Rush!
Rush is another high quality puzzle game developed by Two-Tribes
The game is pretty simple: color coded cubes come out from their spawners and you need to guide them to their destination
So, in this case there was only one arrow to make them change the direction
Of course this is three-dimensional, even though I'm now in the tutorial, later on we will use the full three dimensions of it
In order to bring cubes to your destination you have several different tiles you can place around the set
For example this that I'm using here is a stop tile
it is used to reduce the speed of the cubes stepping on it
So in this case we place it here and then... try it
As you can see the blue cube stops before hitting the red cube
I will show you an example of if we didn't do that
there would be the collision between the blue and red cubes and the level would fail
See here? A big red exclamation mark shows us where we failed
This game is really awesome.
It only has a limited number of rules, which are also pretty simple,
but they are very effective and make up for excellent puzzles
This is the first example of a 3D space
When the cubes arrive here on this green tile they will be split: one on the up, one on the down
Every time a cube hits a wall goes to its right
So in this case it hits the wall two times and then gets to its destination
This is one of the easier levels: as you can see we have four different colors with four different color coded destinations
You need to get the appropriate cube in the right spot
And in order to do this, as you can see,
you can never make two cubes of any color cross together or fall down the level
So... in this case we need to bring the orange cube up here,
the red cube around and here... and so on...
The blue cube we need to... put in here,
and the yellow cube [must roll] all this way
In order to do this we should put this here, and here...
like this...
like this and... this should... pretty much work.
Like... this!
As you can see all the cubes are rotating into their destinations without hitting each other
Of course, in some occasions there are blocks that can cross their paths, the important thing is that they [should] never collide
Each teleporter is also color-coded, so a cube that enters the yellow teleporter gets out in the other position of the yellow teleporter
As for the rest, it's pretty much the same
Another thing that is very useful when you're dealing with levels is to turn around in 3D space by holding the right mouse button
This should work unless I made a mistake... but it should work. Let's try.
And this was it
In order to end this video I thought it would be a good idea to play a hard level with you guys
In order to complete some levels you need to have some good lateral thinking
because it might not be as easy and intuitive as one could think.
In this case we need to... pull them all up...
We don't have nearly enough tiles so we need to split them up
Sooo... like this...
this should work, fairly good
so, this should "almost" work
This is fairly good but we need to chain something so that with all tiles set the level is complete
This won't work... we are one tile short...
The blue one will drop, but the others seem fine
Yep, fell in.
While the green tile is turning you can see the direction that it's taking
in this case if we are to swap one of these tiles with a direction tile
(for example we can move this here)
this should work just fine
Yep... and so...
This here, this here, and the level should be complete
Unless I made some mistake
Let's see...
And it worked.
Ok guys, this wraps it up.
