Hi, my name is green dest-n-e and today I'm going to be talking about
sniping
and the techniques used to become a better sniper.
Now in most first person shooter games,
there's always going to be a sniper class. In this one particular game
Bad Company 2, I'm playing the sniper class which is also called the Recon class.
The first technique I want to talk about is called scanning.
Basically you use some sort of cover
or maybe even a horizon.
Like if you're looking up over some
boxes or some wood stacks.
You're just basically scanning.
I'll show you what i'm talking about.
Now just move back and forth
And you're just looking. Scanning the area.
Just looking for somebody to shoot at
And if you're getting shot at,
you're moving so you can just duck behind your cover.
You have to keep moving
And I can't stress it enough.. you HAVE to move in every single first-person
shooter game.
If you move, you are a harder target to hit and will survive better.
MOVE MOVE MOVE
Now I'll show you again.
Basically you're just strafing back and forth just scanning the area and looking up
and down.
Looking around for any sort of the movement
Just scanning the area. And don't forget to look behind you too.
Just keep moving no matter what don't just sit here..
and just wait for people. That's dumb. You're a sitting duck. People will walk around the
corner and shoot you.
So be smart about it.
Use the scanning technique.
Here's the scanning technique in action.
The second technique that i want to talk to you about
is one of the best ones you could ever use.
If you don't already do it,
you have to try it.
It's called the pistol pull.
It's exactly how it sounds.. you just pull out your pistol.
Now i have a bolt action rifle
And in between shots, you have to bolt another bullet.
That gives the person that you're shooting at
a couple more seconds to shoot at you. That's not what you want.
So basically
for close to medium range combat,
you pull out your pistol.
Which you can use to better defend yourself or finish off a person.
So you hit somebody and pull out your pistol to finish them off.
And you can also use it to defend yourself if somebody else comes up on you.
Basically..
So use your pistol
like I said.. in close quarters to medium range combat.
Now I'm going to show you that in action.
Now the pistol pull might seem like an easy technique.
But you have to get it down. You have to use your hotkey's
Hotkeys are whatever your rifle is.. like my rifles number one
and my pistol is number 2.
As soon as I pull out my pistol
I can shoot.
Do not scroll.
I can't stress it enough. Don't use your scroll you have to get used to the
hotkey's. I use WASD to move around so i can just use one and two.
Now..
Another technique I want to talk about
is called the quick scope.
It's basically how it sounds. You're just quick scoping in and shooting.
The idea behind this that when you no scope.. See my bullet hit over here when
i was aiming about right here.
Now when you aim in with your scope
your bullet is going to be right on your scope.
Now for quick scope, the idea is that you know where the
middle of your screen is.
You're scoping in fast and shooting
immediately after he scope.
You're going to be more accurate.
Because you're scoping in.
The quick scope is used in close to
medium range shots. Don't try to use it at a long range.
And if you're removing while trying it it's a lot harder to do.
But I hit the target that time.
Use the quick scope
whenever somebody just like jumps out blah blah blah
It's not the best technique to use and I don't use it a whole lot.
I use it may be once a game
or something you know.
And I don't even hit them all the time.
That's why I use the pistol pull. Ok, the pistol pull is the best technique you
can use in close to medium range combat.
This is the quick scope in action.
When quick scoping, not all rifles are going to be that accurate.
In this game the rifle that I'm using right now is pretty freakin accurate when it comes
to
quick scoping. Also the GOL
maybe even the fifty cal.
Okay, you seen I used the 50 Cal in those videos.
The fourth technique I want to talk about
is no scoping.
In most first-person shooter games you're going to have a very accurate
Now somebody just like all of sudden sneaks up on you.
You have to know where the middle of your screen is to try this.
Or you could just shoot if you think you're even close.
With this rifle it is a headshot magnet when it comes to no scoping.
I do it all the time.
And people complain ALL the time.
Don't try to use the no scope in long range.
You can try to use it at medium ranges but most of the time you're going to miss.
This is mostly used for close quarters when somebody just comes up on you.
After you shoot, remember
to use your pistol pull technique.
If you don't hit them, pull out your pistol and finish them off.
Easy as that.
Now here's the no scope in action..
All four of the techniques that I've showed you..
scanning, the pistol pull, the quick scope and the no scope.
If you use these techniques,
work on your reflexes,
and work on your hand eye coordination,
you will become a better sniper.
Every single day I get people that think I hack.
Just by using these four simple
techniques..
I guarantee you will become a better sniper if you use them.
Don't forget to move!
You HAVE to move around.
Even while reloading.. MOVE.
Use these techniques well,
and I guarantee you'll become a better sniper.
This is green dest-n-e. I hope you learned a lot.
