One of the Vel-Pertsª here from Speedtech International.
We are here today to talk about the differences between VELCRO¨ ONE-WRAPª straps
and the industrial grade, SPEEDWRAP¨ tie.
Lets start with the similarities...
they're both made out of the same raw material, a patentend raw material
that's available only through Velcro u_s_a_
We have been using that raw material now for little over fifteen years.
The material is strong and it's manufactured with the hooks on one side and the loops on
the other.
Rap the tie onto itself for the closure. One thing to point out is it's laminated
together without the use of adhesives so when you're in different
environments like wet, cold or warm weather
the tie has a strong hold and doesn't delaminate over time or get destroyed
like catastrophic failure of the tie.
The differences between the SPEEDWRAP¨ & VELCRO¨ ONE-WRAPª brand Cable Ties start with their geometry or the shape of the straps.
The ONE-WRAPª strap
features a relatively narrow head compared to the the SPEEDWRAP¨ version.
and with uh... a little teardrop shape.
I believe this smaller tip is designed for an easy insertion
of the tip through the tie's head.
uh... with this particular one that I have here seems to want to
get hung up a little bit
on the closure or I mean
uh... with the insertion.
uh... the SPEEDWRAP¨ industrial grade tie straps
has a wider
slot and more materials between the chad on the edge of the head
with a full fifty percent larger
area between the chad and head than that of the one wrap tie.
uh... you can see also the strap has a straight tale
which makes a very smooth insertion into the head with the same
shot-key feature so that you can keep the strap attached to the cable
then wrap the tie around your cable
as you bundle up your cables you wrap the tie back onto itself
for a secure hold.
So that's that a brief overview.
