Look back to last semester,
I'm grateful that I managed to expand my subject knowledge,
master technological skills and change my pedagogical attitudes
to use of educational technologies as a secondary teacher.
DLDG2013 helps me to open a
digital window to explore and investigate the way to design,
the way to think and the way to learn in this digital world.
I would like to use my inquiry project to interweave all sorts I have learned in DLDG.
Thanks to DLDG2013,
it provided me the great opportunity to carry out my flipping classroom project.
I understand
the essential and critical requirements
for the effective technology is that
it is able to integrate itself with pedagogy and specific subjects.
The TPACK model provides us an excellent guide
to select a technology or evaluate a technology for our teaching.
DLDG has shaped my pedagogical view on e-learning.
It is important for us to use technology to
leverage aspects of productive and meaningful learning,
to mediate authentic, active,
collaborative learning in specific discipline area.
In other words, we want knowledge construction,
but not reproduction; we want conversation,
but not reception; we want articulation,
but not repetition; we want collaboration,
but not competition; we want reflection,
but not prescription. DLDG has changed my teaching
philosophy to constructivism,
That means, teach students to learn how to learn
by giving them a short training
to take initiative for their own learning experience.
Flipping classroom has disruptively displaced traditional teaching approaches.
With the help of technology, flipping classroom
is able to personalize learning and attract considerable interests in future.
Flipping classroom is an excellent
example of mobile learning.
It is not only involving three components of TPACK,
but also it matches our lifestyle-learning.
In another words, if we want to successfully carry out a mobile-teaching,
we have to take content, pedagogy,
technology and lifestyle into account.
Mobile learning sets our learning free
and we can now learn virtually anything,
anywhere and anytime.
It also provide strong search capabilities,
rich interaction, powerful support for effective learning and immediate responsive assessment.
In conclusion,
I would like thank DLDG2013
give me a chance to learn a range of contemporary learning technologies
and associated pedagogical approaches.
I am able to use these skills and knowledge
to adopt appropriate teaching strategies
to engage my future students in authentic,
active, collaborative learning.
