If I could describe Dawg Camp in one word it would honestly be: indescribable.
I don’t know how to say this Indescribable. You have to experience it.
Umm…… Dawg Camp is indescribable.
It gave me a reason to want to come to college. Literally the best decision I have made coming
into this University. Before coming to Dawg Camp,
I thought that it would be more of a weekend for those nerdy college kids
who wanted to come and just get a head start on classes.
But, when I got there, I realized it is a place full of spirit, and
just friendship, and everyone is so accepting.
And, you really get a good head start on your college life.
If you have any questions whatsoever and you feel like nobody has answered for
you yet it’s a great place to be.
You know, I came in nervous, scared, not excited and I left after that week ready to roll.
I can tell you that as a Dawg Camper, I definitely was gung-ho about the University
of Georgia, but I wasn’t, like, necessarily excited
about it. It was not my first choice.
And, coming in here and doing Dawg Camp, it definitely made me passionate
because it opened my eyes to everything this University offers.
It allowed me to ask questions that I may have been too scared to ask at Orientation,
or in another environment. So, it was great for me to be able to have
that community and have those connections and those people
to support me before I even got on campus.
You feel like you’re a big fish in a big pond because of Dawg Camp.
Because of Dawg Camp I am confident in myself and striving to be a leader on campus and
among my peers. Because of Dawg Camp I am more confident
and I’m more willing to try new things. It’s not only one of the most beneficial
things that I’ve done to grow as a college student
also, one of the most enlightening. It just opened my eyes to how many different
people there really are out there. And, it helped me to cope with that.
My eyes are definitely opened up to diversity, team work, and just a lot of fun.
So, Dawg Camp for me has just been a life changing experience
for how I want to spend the rest of my college years.
This is where our leaders come from. You know, the next crop of leaders almost
always comes out of Dawg Camp. This is where you need to be.
Go to Dawg Camp!
