Hello this is Bill Macpherson for Expert Village in this series of clips we're going to be
talking about garageband '08 first off when you launch garageband it will come up with
this window. Right now we're going to choose to "open an existing project" we're going
to choose show demo songs, and we'll open up the shuffling blues. You can see it set
us up with drums, bass, guitar, harmonica you can take a listen to it (playing) in this
main window it's basically what your going to be doing everything. You can see this where
your tracks are this is the mixer for the tracks right here is your timeline you can
see where your tracks are set up. They can be moved by dragging easily and you can also
change your size and cut them. Down here is where you'll find places where you can make
edits to these loops if you click this little eyeball here that will bring up all our loops
in garageband. And this little plus button is how to add a new track you click this button
it will come up with a message showing do you want to create a new software instrument
or real instrument track, create a software instrument hit create, that's how you create a new track, I'm Bill
