The Korea Railway Corporation is making headway in normalizing train services following a
22-day long union strike that ended earlier this week.
Although all union workers are back on the job, KORAIL-operated services were running
at just 75 percent of normal capacity on the first official work day this year.
Subways are scheduled to resume normal operations on January 6th, and all train services on
January 14th,... while train ticket reservations for the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday will
begin next Tuesday, as planned. Meanwhile, KORAIL CEO Choi Yeon-hye said today...
that in order to regain the people's trust, disciplinary action will be sought against
those responsible for leading the strike.
