The people demand the purging of the country
"The revolution leadership demand the cleansing of the corrupt media, and the hanging of Mubarak."
(Chanting) Mr Attorney-General:
"The people demand the cleansing of the media"
Chant: "Strikes are legitimate,
"against poverty and hunger."
"Against the army that slaughters us."
"We don't want neither army nor (Ministry) Interior."
"We have revolutionary legitimacy."
Chants: "Against poverty and hunger,"
"strikes are legitimate."
"against poverty and hunger."
"Why is the army torturing?"
"Is Hosni Mubarak returning, or what?"
"Marshall, Marshall,"
"you receive your legitimacy, from Tahrir."
Sign: "While el-Adly is tried in a civilian court, the revolutionaries are tried in Military courts."
"No to the repression of strikes."
The revolution started again. It did not end with Mubarak stepping down.
The revolution has started. The road is long. We are a people oppressed for 30 years.
A LE500,000 fine, and one year imprisonmnent.
We did not revolt so they can imprison us.
The revolution is not over, I feel that the revolution began after the departure of Mubarak.
The rest of the corrupt regime is still there, in the media, in the government.
We've come here to tell them that we are here, and we won't be afraid of any new law they pass.
And we will remain until we liberate Egypt for real.
I'm here everyday, because the chaos and confusion in the country is intended.
Hosni is Tantawy, because Tantawy is a son of the regime.
Though the army was protecting the revolution at first,
they have now turned 180 degrees.
What is the army's position?
The army - what is their position??
Are the army and people really "one hand", united?
Is the army really a people's army?
Or are these just slogans, repeated everyday and that's it?
Or are the slogans being said out of fear of the army?
We are in this sit-in, so we can work.
A decision was made in the company,
that anyone who worked for 3 consecutive years would be eligible for appointment.
We've been working here for 10 years, some for over 12, on regular daily contracts
When this decision was taken we were out
When we caught up with them so they could apply this rule, they said no, this is enough for us, and those who were here can stay, those who were out, stay out.
The company hired thugs - or god knows who, we don't know who they are, they attacked us violently
The server that came out to disperse the sit-in, said "I'll count from 1 to 20 and I'll shoot anyone who remains here"
And they arrested a few people, I was among them.
"Why?" When these people jailed us for 5-6 days in the army command, and held us for this period
This was in whose interest??
Was this in the interest of the man who joined a sit-in, to get a single pound to feed his family?
Because of the injustice thrown on him thanks to the tyrant -- the company's owner?
To redeem his rights?
The one who joins a sit-in, to put bread on the table, because he doesn't have a single pound?
Did anyone from the army come and get him his rights?
Mend the injustice?
We were given promises.
And none of them have been carried out.
Why the law to criminalize strikes?
Mohammed, a worker in Petrojet Company -They don't want the people, anyone, to express their rights or their opinions
What is this... if I want to hold up a sign and ask for my right, they can jail me for a year and fine me half a million pounds!
Why? This revolution happened so people could speak, and express themselves
Why don't they try those thieves, the ones that stole billions
They haven't tried anyone yet.
All we hear is, we froze their assets, their fortunes are so-and-so, and that's all we get.
Did they try them? No one's been tried.
It's impossible for a country to be democratic and succeed if I don't get a voice in it
No. This way you've brought us back to the age of slavery and enslavement.
This way you've returned me to my enslavement.
What were the causes of the revolution? Or what were the demans of the revolution?
Other than for us to have a voice, to feel our worth...
To feel like we are humans, with the right to say yes and no.
Enough injustice. Enough slavery!
We will not allow, after today, or after this revolution, for our enslavement again.
We will not allow this.
