Desire2Learn for Instructors provides course management system training for faculty and
staff at Lansing Community College. Divided into two tracks, Desire2Learn for Face-to-Face
Instructors and Desire2Learn for Online & Hybrid Instructors, each training course takes users
through the basics of using Desire2Learn for delivering course materials and content.
Desire2Learn for Online and Hybrid instructors takes users through the course management
system, showing them how to navigate and add content to a course, communicate with news
items and discussion boards, create assessments using quizzes and dropboxes, and how to create
and use an electronic gradebook.
Desire2Learn for Face-to-Face Instructors focuses using Desire2Learn to support classroom
instructions by focusing on navigation, uploading content, using course email, and using an
electronic grade book. Also, all of the content from the Online and Hybrid instructor course
is included as optional content within the course for instructors who may be interested
in using more of Desire2Learn to further enhance their course.
