Welcome to Hot Tips, coming from the Smoke Learning Channel.
Today’s practical Hot Tip is brought to you by crazy ConnectFX trees.
As you work in ConnectFX creating amazing composites, nodes go everywhere.
One here,
one there.
They’re everywhere!
Here is a cool way to keep things in order.
It doesn’t matter if you do it before you start or you decide to clean up
in the middle or end of a job.
Click the ConnectFX schematic to ensure it is selected.
Now switch to the grid menu.
In the settings, change the pull down option to Pixel Grid.
Now you can see your grid in the ConnectFX schematic
and you can fine tweak the cell sizes to your liking.
Now pop snap on.
That’s it!
Coming out of the Grid menu,
you can now start arranging the nodes and you will feel them snap into grid.
Now this something you can have on all the time or you can turn it off when you want.
Without having to go back to the grid menu every time,
just come to this pull down menu on the right and change the option from DEFAULT to QUICK OFF.
This disables the grid and the snapping so you can move around freely.
At anytime, you can turn it on and clean up the ConnectFX schematic.
